This year, Redlands Airfield celebrates 20 years of microlight flying and 9 years of skydiving. The last ten years has seen a period of rapid growth; we have added parachuting, skydiving and microlight tuition to the portfolio on offer, improved and developed the facilities, including draining the runways for all year round flying. The latest addition is Tailwind Cafe with an indoor and outside seating area serving home cooked lunches and snacks.

We are still busy farming our organic beef cows and you will sometimes see them grazing along side the runways, or silage being made from the drop zone. The biodiversity at our organic farm and airfield is fantastic and whilst you are here you may see rabbits and hares, deer, buzzards and more recently the rare red kite.

We are fortunate to work with two successful and professional schools based at Redlands Airfield – Skydive London who offer tandem skydiving and parachuting and Clearprop! Microlight School who offer microlight pilot training and trial flights.

If you would like to visit us to watch the parachuting and microlighting activities you will be made very welcome. You don’t have to fly or jump, just come along and enjoy the atmosphere, have lunch or afternoon tea and bring your friends and family with you. Please check our visitors page.
