Welcome to the Redlands Airfield website. We hope that whilst you are browsing our website, you will be bitten by the flying bug and will want to fly a microlight, do a skydive or visit us to watch the flying activities and enjoy yourselves at Redlands as much as we do.

This year, Redlands Airfield celebrates 19 years of microlight flying!  Established in 1990, the small microlight club has developed into a first class multi use Airfield offering microlight flying facilities, a microlight flying school and parachuting. Located on the edge of Swindon and just a few minutes drive from the M4, the A419 and the A420 Redlands Airfield is easily accessible from all main routes.

Starting out as organic dairy farmers, we have successfully diversified into aviation,  managing Redlands Airfield together with our organic beef farm. The cows graze alongside the runways and we make organic silage for the cow’s winter food from the drop zone. The biodiversity at our organic farm and airfield is fantastic and you will see rabbits, hare, deer, buzzards and more recently the rare Red Kite.

We are fortunate to work with two successful and professional schools based at Redlands – Skydive London who offer parachuting and skydiving and Clearprop! Microlight School who offer microlight training and trial microlight flights.   

Redlands Airfield has excellent facilities with three well drained grass runways, offering all year round flying and skydiving, superb microlight hangarage facilities and hot & cold food and refreshments at week ends when we are skydiving.

Whether you are a pilot or parachutist, a first time tandem passenger, or you are visiting Redlands Airfield for the first time to watch our activities you will be made very welcome. Please check out the Spectators and Visitors page for information about how to find us and what is available.
